Dr. Nicole Sharon Affrifah, an experienced Food Scientist, is currently Senior Lecturer and Head, Department of Food Process Engineering, University of Ghana. Previously, Dr Affrifah worked for several years in the food industry and still provides consultancy services for food processing SMEs. She is an AU-IBAR Expert on Food Safety (Food Additives and Food Labelling). Dr Affrifah has extensive experience in national food control programmes particularly within Central and West Africa and is involved in the development and application of food standards to ensure a safe international food trade. Her interests include food process/product development, and food safety.
